Introductory Courses:
Intro to Outdoor Climbing
Want to take your climbing skills outside? Here’s the perfect introductory class. We’ll spend a whole day climbing outdoor top-rope set-ups and learning how your indoor skills translate into outdoor movement. Our most popular class!
Top Rope Setup
This is the class for those who want to learn to climb outside on their own.
You’ll learn to evaluate natural anchors and the basics of gear placement so that you can set-up a safe top-rope system on your own. This class will not stress climbing, it’s all about giving you the skills to set-up climbs on your own.
*WEEKEND PACKAGE:
Make a weekend of your Trip to the ’Gunks. Take the Intro class on Sat and the Top-Rope on Sunday. Free camping available.
Pricing: $150 per day.

Advanced Courses:
Multi-Pitch Class
Here it is. The ability to cover ground. Break free from the Top-rope. This is the way to experience multi-pitch fun in a more controlled environment. This is a unique opportunity to top-out on 260 towering feet of rock. The Guide will ”lead” every pitch and you’ll get to follow or ”second”.
Intro to Trad Lead Climbing Class
Gym climbers are able to venture onto the indoor ”clip-and-go” walls without much leading background.
For these climbers, making the transition to real rock presents a high potential for discovering significant problems. Most climbing areas in the Northeast are not bolt-equipped. Thus the need for learning how to place secure and reliable protection and anchor systems becomes critical. We will examine the wide range of protection devices currently on the market and basic mechanical concepts involved in placing gear in the rock. You will build anchor systems on the ground after which you will ”lead” a pitch (on a top-rope back-up).
Pricing: $190 per person.
